OUR STORY

My name is Ismael Perez Martinez, I’m from Guadalajara, and I grew up understanding that Mexican cuisine does not begin at the table, but in the land and in the hands that transform its materials.

Through a close relationship with artisans from Jalisco, I experienced firsthand the process behind pieces such as basalt stone molcajetes—from the extraction of volcanic rock to the manual work that shapes them. Each piece reflects a tradition that has accompanied generations in Mexican kitchens.

In the same way, wooden tortilla holders—made from pine, oak, and mesquite—represent the warmth of everyday life, preserving one of the most important elements of our culture.

Over time, I realized that many families and restaurants in the United States and Canada seek that authenticity, but don’t always have access to products with true origin. This is how this project was born: as a bridge between artisans from Jalisco and new kitchens, always respecting the tradition, the process, and the story behind each piece.

We also believe in caring for these utensils. That’s why we include traditional products like ZOTE soap, used for generations in Mexico for cleaning, as part of a practice that is deeply rooted in our daily life.

More than selling products, our goal is to share a genuine part of Mexican culture, keeping alive the connection between the land, craftsmanship, and the table.
